Valen Aldoris, the Dragon turned Man, has gone through more than a few moral shifts in the time he's been alive. Being unable to forgive himself for wrongfully aligning himself early on in life and being the end of his family, Valen subscribed to a sort of no-kill-code. Finding himself unable to protect the ones he loved because of it, he allowed the deaths of the deserving, but never the innocent. Kaia became the exception to this rule as he found great solace in her company, forcing the dragon to loosen his views. Unfortunately, due to her destructive lack of ethics and Valen's complacency with them, he was labeled as "evil" by the highly respected Dhaos Pendragon, which in turn forced Valen to step back and rethink what he was fighting for.Despite being a creature whose voice could shape the world, Valen chose to let the world shape his time and time again. As a Dragon, Valen is naturally dominant of his belongings and overly protective of his people. As an orphan child of Man, he does his best to empathize with those around him while remaining emotionally reserved; a defense mechanism to keep his heart safe. Depending on how he might be feeling that day, he could either be the life of the party or the silent type. It could be considered confusing and even bipolar, but Valen will generally always have his eyes on the prize to get the job done.
"..because you were right about me. I was a coward.."
Insecurities: Being disapproved of by someone he respects or a large majority of his peersThe Little Things: Snowstorms, fireplaces, and winter related things bring Valen joyWhen, Where, Who?: Being on the highest peak, with himself, and at night brings Valen peaceJealousy: PDA's, family reunions, basically any visible show of communityAnxious Night: Nightmares of [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] haunt Valen regularly
Armaments
Joyeuse: Valen's most commonly seen blade and finest creation. Its color changes thirty times a day and is often referred to by him as a "kaleidoscopic marvel very reminiscent of the Bifrost". While wielding this longsword, Valen's Mana Burst gains the 'Light' attribute and becomes particularly potent against things of evil nature. Valen struggled to forge this weapon over the years, creating at least 11 failed versions before finally completing this one for a total of 12. He was so happy at its success that he aptly named it "Joyeuse".Mjöllnir: The Thunderer's hammer of legend. Its power commands the skies, rips lightning from the heavens, and weighs the weight of the stars. Very few can pick it up, though anyone technically can. Unlike Milna, Valen's newer hammer, Mjöllnir has no worthiness enchantment on it. Despite this, he has every confidence in the strength of this tool and rarely calls upon its wrath.Ascalon: A godblade forged by an alien blacksmith using an elder storm dragon's eye and the mechanical arm of an ancient hero blessed by silent gods. The creation of this blade signifies Valen’s final connection to humanity being severed and as such has the ability to cut ties quite efficiently. Valen's initial intention was for it to rival Excalibur, but its full strength is a mystery even to him. It is rarely seen and rarely used.
Actives & Passives
"..I'm not afraid anymore, and by the end of this you too will envy the dead."
Passives
The Stormcrown: Noticed by Nirn as the one with the most powerful Voice currently living, Valen has been dubbed Stormcrown by Albion's silent authority. His Voice is granted a sizable buff as well as sovereignty over all others.
Dragon's Engine: The more Valen moves, the more frost static his core passively generates. He can use this static in a plethora of ways including but not limited to: an EMP, armor, and to power his abilities. This static sounds like a purring engine, growing heavier and louder as more clings to him. His emotions can have an effect on how sporadic his engine is.
Actives
Mana Burst (Frost Lightning) | (Light) (B+ Rank): The ability to infuse weapons with one's raw mana. Valen's main burst type is Frost Lightning, a special type of lightning that hyperfreezes on contact and moves like a lightning bolt, but when utilizing Joyeuse it attains the 'Light' attribute and becomes particularly powerful against evil and unholy nature (Malice, Demons, Devils, Dark Sorcery, Necromancy, etc.).Veturfall: Veturfall is anything created via the Veturfall enchantment, which will be applied when Valen touches all five fingers to any ice. Applying this enchantment, Valen can create any handheld vessel of war he desires. Swords, shields, firearms, even armor can be created and altered with the use of magic. By infusing Veturfall with the power of his Mana Burst, it rises to the ability of a Noble Phantasm and acquires its own special name.Fimbul Talon: Mana Burst focused into Valen's weapon will trail his attacks like an afterimage, following up his strikes with a hardlight "memory" of the same attack. This basically allows him to strike one way and then strike another while Fimbultalon repeats the previous attack over and over. Every "memory" strikes with diminishing strength, clicking like a lighter on the final and detonating Mana Burst with power varying on how many memories make contact.Weather Manipulation: The sky and its might is Valen's plaything. He can brew storms with a thought and pull from them lightning, hail, rain, etc. with a simple hand gesture. His connection to the sky is more natural than magical as he's not speaking through some mana-filled incant. Valen's word is law to the heavens, and they listen of their own free will. Should anyone force this will from them- because it is possible- then let that heinous action be their last.
Authorities
(Authority) - The Voice: The Voice (or the Thu'um) is an irreplaceable tool in Valen's arsenal. It has the power to bring great renewal or great destruction, the young dragon preferring the former. Misuse of the Voice is horrendously against Valen's ethics as he believes it's used to find enlightenment rather than victory. He will struggle to his last breath before that breath causes Albion harm.

"..I 'spose I could join you."
Mystics: Valen is often drawn to mystic related artifacts, people, beasts, etc.. How you bring each up will determine how much interest Valen takes.Powerful Materials: Valen, for whatever reason, is in search of the strongest possible armaments to complete a... secret project. Come to him with the possibility of attaining greater power and there's a good chance he'll hear you out.Preservation: As a Solstice it is Valen's responsibility to ensure the coming of a balanced Winter and the preservation of the world. If you openly and knowingly contribute to the decline of Albion, then the only business you'll have with Valen is a fight.Borzoi: omg these fuckers are so cute and valen has an inherent weakness to them u put one of these badboi borzois near him and its all over hes as vulnerable as a lil peach pie :3Involvement: One of Valen's largest insecurities is a pre-thought that he will be excluded from any given thing. Offering him a spot in most activities will generally pull him in (within reason).More To Be Added...
